The Sheriff’s Citizens Academy is an interactive educational program. It provides Pitt County citizens, age 18 and up, with the opportunity to meet and interact with key leaders from the Sheriff’s Office.  The citizens learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Office of the Sheriff. They also explore aspects of local law enforcement, and dive into the operations of our office.

The first session is Tuesday, February 18th.

Meets each Tuesday for eight weeks 6-8pm  + 1 Saturday (April 12th)  11am-2pm for Graduation

*The academy is FREE for residents of Pitt County but seats are limited and are filled on a first-come first-served basis.  Applicants must pass a background check.  To apply, click the links below and submit the applications to begin the process.
